I had never visited South Africa when I first met Jaco nor had I been on a safari. It was the most amazing experience! You will never want to go to a zoo ever again after you experience true wild life. Jaco and his team are so knowledgeable about animal and wildlife in general that it will make you wanting to know more. I was not much of an outdoors animal or wildlife person but with the interesting things they explained as we guides the different reservations, it had me wanting more. It’s an amazing experience and the way Jaco sets things up makes the journey effortless. I have since returned multiple times and each time I learn something new and have a much greater appreciation for Gods creation and the wildlife that is around us everyday.

This is a once in a lifetime experience! We had a fabulous, immersive experience, focused on what we wanted. From the game drive to the 4 wheeler experience, camping overnight in the bush, to the meals, everything seem specially focused on us, which allowed us to melt into relaxation and experience the South African bush fully. Jaco, was so knowledgeable about all the animals, helpful and kind. I cannot WAIT to go back again and see what is in sotre for us!

This is my 5th experience with Jaco and Intrepid Odyssey! He has always provided excellent service, and the experience has always been first class. I have brought my family of four to experience the wonders in the area and most recently came with a couple of colleagues spending some time there. The dinners are fantastic and something you would get in a five star restaurant. Jaco takes care of everything and is always open answering questions, even if they seem silly. First class!!! Can’t wait to come back.

We have just returned from a wonderful and unforgettable experience with Intrepid Odyssey in Hoedspruit. Jaco, our guide, has an amazing knowledge of the animals, their habits and his passion for his subject comes across with every new sighting. He constantly pointed out all the different bird species, vegetation on the game reserves and, very excitingly, paw prints on the ground. He knew and would explain how long they had been there and what particular animal had passed by. The service provided by Intrepid Odyssey was impeccable – every activity was efficiently organised, breakfast packs, water and sundowner drinks appeared from out of the back of the truck at the appropriate moment. Nothing was too much trouble for Jaco. He is excellent company and we were so happy to have him with us on each activity, knowing that he was on hand if needed. He is cheerful and friendly at all times – even when he had to face our sleepy family at 3.30am in order to get to an activity on time for sunrise! Jaco definitely made our experience a very special one, never to be forgotten and for that we send him our heartfelt thanks and gratitude. SHIPP FAMILY CAMBRIDGE UK
